The Women of the Moose, Chapter 1792, in Delton, Michigan work together to assist in the support and maintenance of “Moosehaven,” a retirement community in Florida, where senior members and their spouses may enjoy their golden years together in dignity, comfort and fun. We also support “Mooseheart”, a 1,000 acre community and school in Illinois for babies, children and teens who, for whatever reason, lack a stable home.
We also conduct many Community Service projects and work together to give a helping hand to families and children in need. Around Easter time, we have an Easter Egg hunt, activities for the kids, prizes and lunch. Even a special visit from the Easter Bunny. At Halloween, we have a costume party and at Christmas we have a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, plus many activities and prizes for the kids.
Other community services include blood drives, providing monetary assistance to the Library, the Parks in the community, children’s sports activities and collecting bottle caps for the Boy Scouts.
The Women of the Moose provide an avenue to earn recognition for outstanding volunteer service for female members of our fraternity.
We meet monthly to share and plan for helping others. It’s also a time for fellowship, fun, and uplifting each other. Currently our meetings take place on the first Thursday of the month, at 6:30 at the Lodge. You will find us in the banquet area of the Lodge down by the orange door. Our board members include:
